The artist takes her inspiration from the ‘case study house’ programme which was an experiment in American residential architecture to build inexpensive and model homes for the United States residential housing boom post World War II. Most of the houses were built in California and some of the major architects of the period commissioned to work on the houses included Richard Neutra, Charles and Ray Eames, Pierre Koenig and Eero Saarinen. The architecture represented in “Tribute to Stahl House” indirectly inspired by the “Stahl House” in the Los Angeles hills by Pierre Koenig.
